Meet Mariah, a 24-year-old with a passion for design that's as vibrant as her hometown of Tallahassee, Florida. From a young age, Mariah was drawn to the beauty of spaces, her parents Michael and Michele Carruthers flipped homes and she was often included in the process of renovating homes in Tallahassee and along the Gulf coast. Growing up surrounded by Tallahassee's unique blend of Southern hospitality and urban energy, she developed a keen eye for the interplay of aesthetics and functionality.

After graduating Florida State University in 2022 with a Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management, Mariah pursued her dream by enrolling in the First Professional Master of Interior Design and Architecture at Florida State. Immersed in a world of color theory, spatial planning, and architectural history, she found her calling in commercial interior design. Inspired by the transformative power of well-designed spaces to shape human experiences, Mariah dedicated herself to mastering the art and science of creating dynamic environments that both inspire and empower.

Throughout her academic journey, Mariah has honed her skills through an internship at Rottet Studio in Los Angeles, California this past summer. She gained invaluable hands-on experience in project management, client collaboration, and design implementation. From boutique hotels to high-end restaurants, she thrives on the challenge of translating client visions into reality, infusing each project with her signature blend of creativity and practicality.

As Mariah embarks on the next chapter of her career, she is driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in the world of commercial interior design. With Tallahassee as her home base and the world as her canvas, she looks forward to bringing her unique perspective and passion for design to projects both near and far. With boundless creativity, unwavering determination, and a touch of Southern charm, Mariah is poised to leave her mark on the world of commercial interior design.
